How open should science be
At the 40th General Assembly, the 193 Member States have tasked UNESCO with the development of international guidelines on “Open Science”. With the aim to ensure the maximum cooperation at the international level, UNESCO has asked all Member States and civil society stakeholders to provide comments on the first Draft Recommendation on Open Science.
Science for Democracy and the Associazione Luca Coscioni have participated in the global consultation with their suggestions that can downloaded below. A second draft of the UNESCO Recommendation, based on the received comments, will be circulated by March 2021.
