Open Science is intended as a fundamental aspect for the achievement of the full and universal enjoyment of the benefit of science and of scientific knowledge. It includes and extends beyond the promotion of Open Access policies; we work for the international improvement of the policies regulating open access to publications, open data, open sources and open educational resources. We call for a change in science evaluation systems and reward structures, and push for an implementation of means to measure, compare and discuss the current obstacles that make access to science limited, with particular attention to minorities, women and marginalised groups.
Open Science
Our commitment for the promotion of Open Science has been re-stated and strengthened with the final recommendations of the VI World Congress for freedom of scientific research.
